That thick dough and cheese base, can seem too much for some, but we can help with those pizza urges, read on
It is now a fact that pizza can be enjoyed as part of a balanced diet, providing you remember two key things when creating or ordering your pizza.
1) There are many low fat cheeses out there to try and although some may taste extremely different when eaten straight from their packets, they actually taste great when oven baked on a pizza. Shop around and select the best low fat cheese for you.
2) The pizza dough is another obstacle for many, as this can be very thick and bloating. Using a medium or thick base, but then simply removing some of the dough in the center, can really reduce the calories of the pizza. Try removing the dough in the center (hollowing the dough base slightly) and then filling this with thinly chopped salad, to create a healthy and compact base. Of course, if you feel like making your dough from scratch, simply use less dough and make the center of the base more hollow.
Once your low fat cheese has been sprinkled over and your meats placed, you’ll have a low fat and delicious pizza to enjoy without dreading the scales. We’ll be bringing you more on what low fat cheeses to use, very soon.
