A question that has bugged allot of cheese lovers for some time, is whether or not they should freeze their cheese. We can understand the reason for wanting to do this, but you must take into account the quality of your cheese, as well as it’s type.
Thinking of freezing that soft cream cheese? Well don’t. Freezing such cheese will ruin their texture, making them gummy once thawed. The flavor of such cheeses will also be effected, so please bear this in mind before taking any cream cheeses, Bries or blue cheeses to the freezer.

Do you like your soft, creamy and blue cheeses? Well don't freeze them
So what about high quality artisan cheeses? Don’t even think about it. If you would like to pay for such a cheese, only to completely ruin it’s matured flavor and unique texture, then go ahead. Otherwise, consume and enjoy what you paid for.

Next time you feel the need to freeze such cheeses, just go out and drop your money down the nearest drain instead
So can any cheese be frozen? The answer to that depends on how fussy you are with your cheese (and all good cheese lovers should be). Very hard cheeses, such as cheddar cheeses and Parmesan can be frozen, but before you do that, remember what what happens when you leave a basic cheese exposed in your fridge for too long. The look of rock hard, dried out cheese just upsets us all, so remember that before locking them up in the extreme cooler.
